There's no shortage of challenging teaching either. I am the Bread of Life. Eat my flesh and drink my blood. What do you make of all that?
What verse or verses can you memorize from this chapter?
I've heard it said that it should have been easy for the people of the day to believe the words of Jesus since they got to see Him and His work. That makes sense in many ways, but on the other hand, imagine listening to a man telling you to eat his flesh and drink his blood if you want to have life in you. I can see how that would be enough to drive me away, apart from the abundant grace of God.
ReplyDeleteI've memorized 6:29. A good reminder that my primary work is simply to believe in the sufficiency of His work.
