Psalm 81

v. 13 "If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways,"


Lord, God, I know you desire obedience.  You are the Creator and sustainer of the universe.  It makes no sense to run from you or disobey you.  Bring me close to you, give me a heart to know, follow and obey you.  I want to follow your ways, and get away from following my own.  I want to listen to you.  I need you.  Amen.

Psalm 80

v. 3, 7, 19 Restore us, Gold Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.


Father, please save us.  Make your face shine upon us.  We are unworthy, I am unworthy, and yet I long for your mercy and love.  Restore me, heal me, have mercy on me.  I need you Jesus.  Amen.

Psalm 79

v. 9  Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name's sake.


Lord God, be glorified in my life.  Be glorified in our city.  Forgive us, have mercy on us, pour out your infinite love upon us.  We do not deserve you but we know that you love us.  I do not deserve you but I know that you love me.  Help me Lord, my God.  Amen.

Psalm 78

v. 72 And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.

Lord, I have been given more than a few opportunities to lead and to be influential.  Make my heart clean and pure.  Please take my sin and selfishness out of the way.  Give me the ability to do that which you want me to do.  Lord God, my God, may I live my life with integrity of heart and skillful hands.  I beg you.  Amen.
