Proverbs 2

v. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Lord God, let me know wisdom.  Help me grow in knowledge of you and knowledge of truth.  Help me understand why.  Help me see more of what you see, feel more of what you feel, and love more like you love.  Help me search for wisdom as for hidden treasure.  I love you and I need you.  Amen.

Proverbs 1

v. 32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of  fools will destroy them.

Lord Jesus, do not let me follow after evil.  Make my heart wise.  As I explore these proverbs in the coming months, show me more of what it ought to look like to keep my heart and ways pure.  I need you so badly.  Amen.

Psalm 150

v. 6  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.  Praise the Lord.

Father, Lord God, I give you all praise, glory and honor.  You are almighty, all-powerful and infinite.  Your ways are so far above mine.  Your understanding is so far beyond anything I can imagine.  Your greatness is infinitely more than all the greatness of the world.  Your majesty is incomprehensible.  Thank you for being our perfect, almighty God and Father.  I give you praise.  I praise your holy name.  Lead us and guide us with your loving hand.  Amen.

Psalm 149

v. 4 For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.

Lord, I am a sinner.  I am proud.  I take you for granted and abuse your grace.  Make me yours, take delight in me, let me live humbly.  I desire you.  I want to desire you more.  Amen.
