Proverbs 6

v. 16-19 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Lord Jesus, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.  Restore unto me the joy of your salvation.  Let me find my joy in you and you alone.  You are God.  You are good.  You alone are the Most High, one and only Savior.  I give you my heart and my life.  Amen.

Proverbs 5

v. 22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast.

Father, turn my heart toward that which is good.  Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil.  Deliver us all from evil.  Reign in our hearts.  Amen.

Proverbs 4

v. 26 Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.

God our Father, teach me wisdom.  Make my heart steadfast and true.  Help me to choose wisely in all I do.  Help me to choose you and your way.  Have mercy on me -- I need you so desperately.  Help me to love you with all my heart.  Break me and draw me close.  I choose you.  Amen.

Proverbs 3

v. 3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

Lord God, help me grow in love and faithfulness.  I can put in the effort, but I can't force myself to grow.  Give me the wisdom to practice good habits, and bring my heart close to yours.  Let me walk in love and faithfulness in all I do, with every person I encounter.  You are so great.  You are so good.  Amen.
