Proverbs 10

v. 12 Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.

Father, thank you for your love.  Thank you for making a way for us that would cover our many wrongs -- my many wrongs.  I am sorry.  I need you and love you.  Fill my heart, that it would pour out your love onto those around me.  I fail to show love so often.  I fail to love.  Help me to love.  Amen.

Proverbs 9

v. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Lord, Father, Jesus, Savior, I worship you.  Thank you for your kind, wise heart.  Thank you for giving us access to your thoughts as you love and care for your creation.  Make my heart wise.  Help me to know you.  I need you to reign in me.  Amen.

Proverbs 8

v. 11 for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Lord, I want to live a life of wisdom.  Help me live wisely.  Help me lead others to live wisely as well.  Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for making your wisdom known to us.  You alone are Most High God, Amen.

Proverbs 7

v. 22  All at once he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noose.

Father, lead me not into temptation.  Lead us not into temptation.  Teach me to guard my heart, and help me to help other men guard their hearts as well.  Let all that goes into and out from my heart bring you honor and glory.  Amen.

Proverbs 6

v. 16-19 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Lord Jesus, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.  Restore unto me the joy of your salvation.  Let me find my joy in you and you alone.  You are God.  You are good.  You alone are the Most High, one and only Savior.  I give you my heart and my life.  Amen.

Proverbs 5

v. 22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast.

Father, turn my heart toward that which is good.  Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil.  Deliver us all from evil.  Reign in our hearts.  Amen.

Proverbs 4

v. 26 Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.

God our Father, teach me wisdom.  Make my heart steadfast and true.  Help me to choose wisely in all I do.  Help me to choose you and your way.  Have mercy on me -- I need you so desperately.  Help me to love you with all my heart.  Break me and draw me close.  I choose you.  Amen.
